The Wave of Glory
World Prayer Assembly Report
A Team of 13 was sent to Perth to participate in the World Prayer Assembly at the Perth Convention Centre.
Generation Fire was one of the sponsors and joined with about 3000 delegates that had come from 58 nations.
How do you some up a week like that. The difficulty of just getting to Perth, to settling in and connecting with Believers from around the World. We can witness and testify that we saw Gods hand at play where he moved sovereignly . We had heard from many different groups on the way to Perth their flights were delayed or their flights were cancelled. Or some were blocked from getting their flight. And it was through answered prayer that we were able to get to Perth safely.
The opening session was on the Tuesday Night which started with people entering to the auditorium bearing flags of every nations. Following a Welcome to Nation by Gloria Watkins who represents the Noonga Nation.
Some Significant Moments
Wednesday morning Session RIck Ridings who is a recognised as a Global Prayer Leader from Jerusalem. God had spoken to him and changed his travel plan to be apart of tbe World Prayer Assembly. On the Wednesday morning there was a time during the worship where he prayed for a young Samuel McGregor . Later in the meeting when Rick had took the platform to share a word. He started out by saying that the Lord high lighted a young man who has tbe call of God upon his life and called out Samuel McGregor to take the stage and pray for his generation. Samuel came up and then began to pray and the Gloey of God filled tbe space. It is so exciting g to see what God is doing in Gen-Z The session had been be streamed live via TBN Pacific to approx 1.5 million people.
The Wave of Glory
The overall theme of the WPA 23 was called a Wave of Glory. This theme came about by the planning team meeting with some other Key Leaders. After hearing about some of the Prophetic Words that God has spoken over the region it seems Good to the Holy Spirit and Others that this is what God was wanting us to believe for and see released. The Wave of Glory has been seen, prophesied by many. In 1995 God gave a vision to a Solomon Islander Youth Leader about an Army rising up in the Pacific Islands that would Carry the Glory of God upon their shoulders. In 1998 in Tonga at a Prayer Assembly. A Leader also recognised as a Prophet received a Vision and a Word to speak over Tonga was from Psalm 110 Your Troops shall be willing and ready on the day of Battle from the Womb of the Dawn you shall receive the dew of your youth.
The Wave of Glory some have seen as a Wave of Fire. What is clear is that God is still raising up this Army that would carry the Glory of God upon the shoulders of men and women.
During WPA there was much prayer and Intercession into this Wave. And following on from WPA. John one of the team from Auki and Faarau shared how it was he who God gave the vision and word for the Youth Arise movement in 1998. The Holy Spirit revealed to John and Donny that the Vision God gave to the Youth Arise movement is now carried through Generation Fire and it is the Leading of the Holy Spirit for the alliance and partnership that existed 20 years ago God is reforging once again.
Following from WPA a team visited the Blue Mountains to Pray at Malaita Point to renew this partnership and pray for another prayer and missions movement to take the Gospel of the Kingdom to the Solomon Islands and beyond.
