Firestorm Hits Blue Mountains
Hey Everyone - I write this from Winmalee in the Blue Mountains which has been on the News Headlines for the last 4 days.
Thursday afternoon a fire broke out in Springwood which became a Firestorm and within 3 hours 200 homes were Destroyed - Unbelievable to even think about this.
This is home territory - I have lived here in Springwood/Winmalee most of my life and do not remember a fire like this causing so much devastation in such a short period of time.

The Fire threat is still no over as we have the potential of a Super Fire Storm being created. Where three major bushfires join together this has never happened before.
They say the Land Mass of Switzerland has now been burnt.
At the same time in the Philippines they are recovering from a massive earthquake.
There is a huge challenge for us locally to respond to the need at hand - as so many people are now without homes , and without clothes.
The Community response has been amazing - the support, the way the government has assistant and all the work the emergency services has been doing. The Chaplains have been helping people. It is ironic that this movement is called Generation Fire and yet we are now praying for rain and for the fire to stop. God always speaks and reveals himself through creation. First the Physical then the Spiritual.
After 1994 fires - We experienced a move of God in Springwood , 4 years later I received a vision of a Firestorm coming from the East this one was a Spiritual Wave of Glory and Fire.
Now we are facing a situation again And the Term Super Fire has come forth. As I write this article - smoke billows into the sky as Helicopters fly past fighting the fire.
What is God trying to show us about his purpose. The need is now so enormous - Springwood was so comfortable with middle class life. Now people have lost everything will that turn them to Jesus or will they still carry unbelief?
Talks have started with different Leaders to look at how we can pull together a community that is dealing with such loss. Perhaps this is the hour for Jesus to shine and for Springwood to Shine.
We are overwhelmed by the amount of messages that have through from people saying they are praying for us.
Generation Fire will be involved with local churches in helping with the Recovery and accepting donations for victims and will provide either immediate cash relief or purchase gift cards.
