Highlights from Awakening Australia & 100 Hr Prayer Furnace

There is no Word to Describe what took place in Melbourne

A Team from Generation Fire headed down to Melbourne to help facilitate 100 hours of United Worship and Prayer of what we call a Prayer Furnace. This coincided with an Outreach called Flood Melbourne which began on the Monday and finished on the Thursday. To do 100 hours was the longest stint of non stop prayer we have done in Australia. And certainly for melbourne.

We would like to thank YWAM Southlands for hosting us and providing the space and for Bethany International Church for providing space during the evenings. We also like to thank Patrick Steel who had received a vision from God about the Prayer furnace taking place and it was wonderful to see different parts of the Body of Christ coming together to work together in Unity.

There were many prayers prayed, Prophecies given , visions received , songs that were song. Also many tears were shed for Lost Souls. Many new friends were made , and strategic alliances formed.

God showed us all what can happen when their is a marriage between Prayer and Mission.
The result is abundant harvest.

We saw the Hunger in the People, we saw the Heavens opened. And we saw how God uses 24hour prayer to change the outcome on the frontline where you have teams of evangelists out on the streets.

It confirmed why we do what we do , and raised some challenges on what is next from here.

The Prayer Furnace concluded on the Thursday a day before the main event took place in Marvel Stadium. The Fruit of this was hearing that 200 or more people had accepted Jesus on the streets while the 100 hour Prayer Furnace was taking place. Even a Story of a Young Girl being saved from taking her life.

The Awakening Event in Marvel Stadium saw thousands of people come from around Australia climaxing to 35,000 on the Saturday Night. Over 1000 people recommitted themselves to follow Jesus , 600 had accepted Jesus for the first time and 250 were baptised on the Monday following the event.

Walking the streets of melbourne was surreal with people coming up to you where ever you were walking to say Jesus Loves You, and would begin to share the gospel. It was an amazing time for all that came to see and witness and be marvelled by God. Australia is being awakened.

In September we had the Firestorm Gathering which saw a release of a Massive Wave of Fire and Glory. In Melbourne that wave came and it was something we have never seen before. It will change the face of the church in this nation. The Firestorm will engulf the whole nation.

This is what we are about as a movement, to see people come together united, expressing their hunger and passionate through worship and prayer then to take it too the streets and to witness the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, This is Generation Fire - A Generation that will carry and spread the Fire of God. This is what we long for to take place in every Town, City and Nation.
